Welcome to Mr. Mannings Coding 101 Class
Coding is easy, when you know how to do it. But there are so many programming languages, and different things you can do with code, and weird looking words, that it is difficult to know where to begin learning. I developed this class to be a bridge from block-based coding, such as Scratch, to the real world of creating cool things with text-based code. You will start with the simple task of coding a website, and transition to making animations and games directly in your websites. All you need to follow along with this class is a computer connected to the internet, and an email address to create an account with Github. The recommended age range is 10 to 100. If you find this class useful please consider donating to help fund it.

Under 13 years old?
Students: To participate in this class you will need to have a parent or guardian create an account with Github, and provide you access to their account.
Parents/Guardians: Github is a website where professional coders store and share the programs they write. Glitch is a website where you can code your own website and share it with the world. Both of these companies would happily welcome children under 13 who want to learn to code, but do not want to deal with the regulations involved. What you can do is create an account with Github, it only takes a minute, and then allow your child/student to use your Github account under your supervision.
